Specifications include, but are not limited to: full separation of the Domestic and Fire Water systems to include all new piping and a new exterior holding tank. The installation of the new pressure tanks in the second floor mechanical room during Phase 1, make it possible to now separate the fire water and domestic water systems. The existing tank will have it’s under slab piping abandon in place and the tank filled in completely and sealed off. A new exterior underground 20,000-gallon tank with all new piping, connections, and controls will be installed along the bus loop near the new well line. This tank will completely separate the fire water from the domestic water. Piping from the new tank would connect into the building at the future connections provided in Phase 1 through the foundation wall into the mechanical room. The new holding tank and new piping would be dedicated for fire water only applications.
