Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Maine is seeking responses to provide a Laser Cutter for use in the Ferland Engineering and Education Center as defined in this document. This document provides instructions for submitting responses, the procedure and criteria by which the Respondent(s) will be selected, and the contractual terms which will govern the relationship between the University and the awarded Respondent(s). This equipment will be housed in the new Ferland Engineering Education and Design Center which will house the Biomedical Engineering Program and Department of Mechanical Engineering, as well as teaching laboratories for Mechanical Engineering Technology Program. It will also provide space for all UMaine engineering majors to complete their senior capstone projects and collaborative learning classrooms that will serve the entire campus. This equipment will play a vital role in the growth of the UMaine student's university experience and the expansion of the UMaine College of Engineering population.
