Specifications include, but are not limited to: Introduction/Overview. The University of Delaware’s primary objective is to solicit proposals for procurement and installation of student residence room furniture at the Residence Halls at the University’s Newark campus. As a result, the University of Delaware is seeking proposals and related experience in a project of similar size and scope from vendors. The University is seeking vendors who will propose strategies that will help us to manage cost and propose solutions that may be more economical while maintaining quality. The project is divided into 2 phases: Phase 1 – A minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5) lines of furniture will be selected from submitted proposals, for installation of a sample suite of typical student residence room furniture. These sample suites will be part of a showcase that will be exhibited for two weeks and voted on by students and Residential Life management Phase 2 – the selected suite from above showcase will become a furniture standard and be procured in phases for the dorm/s selected.
