Specifications include, but are not limited to: An experienced supplier to provide drilling services. The borings will be created at the North Avant Well Field near Barnsdale, Oklahoma. 1. The Department of Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences is seeking a supplier to drilling three (3) shallow borings. 2. The geology of the area over the depth interval of the borings is expected to be characterized by shale with interbedded sandstone and limestone. The permanent water table is expected to be below the depth of the borings, but it is possible that perched groundwater is present at shallow depths. Air rotary drilling methods have been used to drill shallow borings in the vicinity of North Avant Field in the past. 3. Each boring will consist of drilling a 10-inch diameter boring to 40ft depth. Air rotary is the preferred drilling method. Then steel casing with a minimum 6-inch inner diameter will placed in the boring and sealed to the surface with neat cement or bentonite hole-plug. Then the offerer will drill a 6-inch diameter borehole below the bottom of the casing. The 6-inch diameter borehole will extend to a total depth of 140 ft.
