Specifications include, but are not limited to: he City of Nome (City) is requesting proposals from qualified and interested certified public accountant firms to perform the annual audit of the financial statements conducted in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. Our objective is to select the firm qualified to provide: 1. Examination of the financial statement as required by Alaska statutes and all applicable state and federal regulations, including Government Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Governmental Accounting Standards. 2. Assistance to staff regarding accounting and reporting issues and questions, including providing assistance with the implementation of new accounting standards 3. Written recommendations to management and the Nome Common Council.
