Specifications include, but are not limited to: U-CHANNEL SIGN POST-GREEN: Steel “U” posts shall be rail steel conforming to the requirements of ASTM, A 499, grade “60” or ASTM A 576, grade 1070-1080, minimum yield strength of 413.6 MPa (60,000 psi).All post shall be painted medium green with 2 coats of approved baked or air dried weather resistant quality paint. All post will have one beveled/tapered end. The weight per meter (foot) shall be a minimum of 3.0Kg (2.0 LB) through a maximum of 3.7kg (2.5 LB) as specified by line. The post shall have 9.5-mm (3/8 in) holes drilled or punched along the centerline of the web. The holes shall begin 25 mm (1 in) from the top of the post and continue at 25 mm (1 in) centers for the entire length of the post.
