Specifications include, but are not limited to: Installation of proposed substructure units underneath the existing bridge (consisting of pile foundations outboard of the existing bridge with a straddle bent installed under the existing bridge) while keeping traffic fully open on Lighthouse Road • Installation of abutment piles and retaining walls under • Installation of temporary bents north of the existing Bridge 3-437 • Construction of precast concrete deck bulb tees (80’-0” span) on top of temporary bents while traffic is maintained on the adjacent existing structure (including roadway surface, sidewalk, barrier, and continuity diaphragms). • UHPC pour between the precast superstructure elements • Work to be completed under a full road closure: o Demolition of the existing Bridge 3-437 in its entirety o Installation of precast concrete stub abutments o Lateral bridge slide of the proposed superstructure onto the proposed bridge substructure o Installation of precast moment, approach, and sleeper slabs o Approach roadway construction and paving
