Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2 (two certified instructors to provide basis instruction in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Oxy-Acetylene cutting process to offenders at seven (7) Correctional Centers; The Contractor will provide 60 hours of hands-on instructional training to inmate students per class cycle for one week or five consecutive days. One class cycle will be divided into two groups: one (1) morning session and one (1) afternoon session. The contract will include 6 class cycles totaling 360 hours on the first contract year, and 8 class cycles totaling 480 hours on the second contract year. The instruction will cover basic welding, oxy-acetylene certificate of completion, opportunity to obtain AWS D1.1, 1F and higher certifications (Fillet, 1 or more positions). All students who complete the 5-day course will receive a certificate of completion. The AWS certification will be earned by trainees who meet the criteria. On the first contract year, six class cycles will occur at the following Correctional Centers: 1. One class cycle at Goose Creek Correctional Center 2. One class cycle at Hiland Mountain Correctional Center 3. One class cycle at Palmer Correctional Center 4. One class cycle at Point Mackenzie Correctional Farm 5. One class cycle at Spring Creek Correctional Center 6. One class cycle at Wildwood Correctional Center
