Specifications include, but are not limited to: The South San Antonio Independent School District (“SSAISD” and/or the “District”) is accepting proposals for professional services to perform all redistricting services in relation to its seven (7) single-member trustee districts, based on the 2020 adjusted census data and in accordance with applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Texas Education Code Section 11.052 (i) specifically requires SSAISD’s Board of Trustees to “redivide the district into appropriate number of trustee districts if the census data indicates that the population of the most populous district exceeds the population of the least populous district by more than 10 percent.” In addition, the U.S. Constitution and its amendments and the Voting Rights Act prohibit voting discrimination based on the basis of race or language.
