Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Bulk salt for Disinfection . • Salt shall be of quality and purity to be acceptable for use in the Onsite Generation of Hypochlorite through a Clortec CT-300 OSHG Generation System. Salt shall be ANSI/NSF Standard 60 certified and shall meet the purity and physical size specification identified in the following tables. Certificate of analysis (COA) or product data sheet shall be provided with bid for evaluation • Sodium Chloride (%) 98.6 >99.8 • Particle size: Crystals sized to avoid a tendency to bridge in softener brine tanks. • Annual usage is estimate as it will be a new system that will be installed in February/March 2022 • Transportation and delivery of the salt shall be done in accordance with the Sanitary Transportation practices required by Title 21 U.S. Code, section 350e. Salt delivered to the WTP in a manner violating 21 USC §350 will be removed from the salt storage/brine tank at the carrier’s expense.
