Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Working at assigned courts to assist tenants with the rental assistance process, including providing application status, payment status, and other pertinent information regarding applications. • Providing tenants information regarding the eviction process prior to their court hearing. • Collecting tenant data at the direction of the Project Manager. • Working with the TAP legal aid organizations (ILS, ILAS, and NCLC) to coordinate legal advice or representation as needed. However, TAP Navigators will not themselves provide legal advice to tenants, and legal expertise is not required. • Assisting the Project Manager with communications regarding TAP, to ensure public awareness. • Working with the John Boner Neighborhood Centers and other organizations administering the rental assistance program, to ensure seamless interaction between TAP and the rental assistance program. • Performing other related duties at the direction of the TAP Project Manager or the City.
