Specifications include, but are not limited to: Identify and define video and security performance specifications based on current federal and industry best practices that are appropriate for the project location and facility type. Design a comprehensive system to meet the identified performance criteria. The system should leverage existing facility communications infrastructure and optimize the City’s existing video monitoring capabilities within the project budget, while being scalable to provide the City with the flexibility to add additional security cameras and solutions in the future. Design of the video surveillance and security system shall deliver forensic video “readiness”, enhanced situational awareness and response, with image quality and analytics supporting improved response to off-normal conditions. o Technology Considerations Simplified high quality redundancy of recording: “edge” camera recording. High quality, High Definition (HD), low light tech (full color, thermal). “Proactive,” “Ahead of the threat” advance warning video tech (abnormality detection). “Reactive” video technologies to aid investigations (recognition). Video + Mobility and/or Alarm Automation. Incorporate non-proprietary equipment o Design shall leverage the City’s existing Genetec Security Center unified security platform. • Monthly update meetings through the design phase • Project specifications, plans, and details o Performance criteria o Equipment lists o Proposed locations o Power and communications o Integration and configuration detail • Estimate of probable cost
