The mixture is also referred to as Cold Mix.; Aggregate can be proprietary materials or locally produced aggregate. Limestone is not allowed. Crushed stone or crushed gravel must be used. The aggregate cannot have adherent films of clay, frozen lumps, or other extraneous matter that prevents thorough coating with the bituminous material.; The bituminous material shall be a formulation of the liquid asphalt blend prepared under the supervision of the proprietary mix supplier. The bituminous supplier must provide a current mix design that ensures the final winter patch product meets the required specifications.
