Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Overall dimensions of the body shall be 16ʹL X 8ʹW, constructed of 6ʺ X 4ʺ X 3/8ʺ angle iron sides and ends and come with all the rack sides that interlock with one another and can be easily removed when not in use. • Longitudinal channels shall be a minimum 6ʺ structural channel with 4ʺ structural channel cross members on not greater than 12ʺ centers. • Gussets shall be welding in place on every alternate cross member. • The body shall be mounted on a hardwood filler between the long sills of the body and the truck’s frame. • The hardwood filler shall be the full length and width of the trucks frame. • Full removable interlocking racks shall be provided including the front of the body to allow access to the existing hydraulic valve in the wing cabinet in the event maintenance needs to be performed on the hydraulic system. The racks shall be 40ʺHigh X 47ʺWide. • Mounting of the body should be approximately 6ʺ inches after the cabinet to allow room to work. • Rub rails shall be on both sides and run the entire length of the side of the body. • Decking shall be installed and consist of 1-3/4ʺ inch Oak boards covering the entire area. • Baskets for holding personnel shall be built into the deck approximately 16ʺ inches from the front of the body on both sides opposite of each other. • Baskets shall be fully removable and of a slide-in design so that they can be secured into place by the means of bolting or pinning so as to not slip out when traveling over the road. • Each basket shall have a removable panel that covers the top of the basket which will also be covered with Oak boards and are level with the platform deck when in use. • The design shall be of a slide into place over the baskets and easily installed or removed when needed by the means of bolting or pinning into place so that they stay in place securely when traveling over the highway and cannot slip out.
