Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected Applicant must provide clinical audiological expertise to provide oversight and consultation for quality assurance activities relative to infant hearing screenings. The selected Applicant must provide training to newborn screening program staff, statewide, to ensure that children at risk for hearing loss, and ultimately subsequent speech and learning delays, can be effectively identified and referred for diagnostic evaluation; early treatment; and remedial services. The selected Applicant must provide audiological consultant technical information to the Department’s Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Program staff related to screening diagnostics; early intervention; follow-up; and any other aspect of the program structure and management as needed.
