Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project involves the design for the replacement of steel security, detention-grade doors and jambs on the West Wing for housing unit entrances, cells, shower rooms and closets for eighteen (18) housing units. The typical arrangement will include twenty-four (24) doors/jambs per housing unit for an approximate total of 432 doors and jambs, and all of the subject doors are hinged swinging doors. All of these doors are fitted with electric detention-grade security locks, and as part of the project, the locks need to be evaluated for re-use or replacement on an individual basis. These locks are operated by a low voltage, 24V system. In addition, there are twelve (12) sliding steel security, detention-grade doors on the West Wing that may be considered for replacement as part of the project, depending on cost and budget. The facility will be occupied and operational throughout the project, so a phasing plan for the work will be required from the successful firm.
