Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Provide guidance and advice to University’s Office of General Counsel on various Higher Education matters including, but not limited to: a. Open Government laws, b. Public Information laws, c. Federal Financial Aid, d. Scholarships. e. Faculty and Student rights f. Procurement for Public Institutions g. Academic Freedom 2.2 Interact with University personnel regarding Higher Education matters. 2.3 Conduct and manage investigations of Higher Education related concerns. 2.4 Research issues as requested by University. 2.5 Aid in determining the correct course of action for various Higher Education matters as they arise. 2.6 Provide advice to University on rights and responsibilities based upon experience, research, and investigation. 2.7 Provide oversight in the implementation of University courses of action and/or application of policies and procedures to specific labor and employment matters. 2.8 Advise University in creating workplace policies and procedures that follow federal, state, and local employment laws. 2.9 Assist in providing training and guidance to University personnel regarding labor and employment issues as requested. 2.10 Generally, aid University in addressing and resolving day-to-day Higher Education issues as they arise.
