Specifications include, but are not limited to: Roadway reconditioning, re-establishing ditches, import and placement of base course, pre-leveling, and paving of the roadway, driveway tie-ins, cul-de-sacs, public approaches, ATV ramps, and mailbox pullouts. Supply labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to perform the required work as described herein and shown on the attached maps. Contractor is required to call for utility locates prior to digging. Work Zone speed limit: Limit speed of vehicles associated with construction to 20 miles per hour within project limits. Use advance warning signs at each point of entry while construction is active. Provide traffic control and protect the HMA until temperatures are acceptable for vehicular traffic. A certified Traffic Control Supervisor is responsible for the set up and maintenance of the traffic control systems and devices utilized to ensure the safety of the workers and public. Traffic control shall comply with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and all other applicable federal, state and local standards, laws, and regulations. Submit Traffic Control Plans for each road group for approval. Employee parking and equipment staging may be within the public right of way. Do not block private property access. A minimum of a 10-foot wide access must be maintained at all times. If private property is used by the Contractor to stage equipment, the Contractor must have a hold harmless agreement signed by the Contractor and property owner releasing MSB from liability for damage to that property. Normal work time is between 7 am and 9 pm. Extensions will be considered and approved by the Engineer.
