Specifications include, but are not limited to: A single qualified contractor to provide Digital Navigators Training and Cohort Support for up-to fifteen (15) libraries that have been selected to implement the Digital Navigator project in their communities. The selected vendor will build the “Connectivity Literacy” of Texas public library staff by providing training on digital inclusion, digital equity, the digital navigator model, and how the current Texas connectivity landscape impacts the communities that the selected libraries serve. Vendor training will help libraries find, use, and integrate data from local, state, and federal resources to map community need, train selected libraries on the approaches, providers, devices and educational resources available to assist with digital inclusion, develop a community of practice of selected libraries implementing the Digital Navigators program, support participants with the contracting and training of digital navigators, and the managed deployment of digital navigators to assist previously identified underserved communities. Vendor will also advise libraries on the acquisition of high-speed broadband Internet services, acquisition of suitable digital devices, and ongoing technical and digital literacy skills training needed to meet the Digital Navigator program goals.
