Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified vendors for Snow Plowing Services for Municipal Lots. The City of Nashua is soliciting bids from qualified vendors, experienced in providing municipal parking lot snow plowing, salt/sand treatment, and removal services as needed. The City proposes to enter into an agreement with the vendor to plow up to eighteen (18) municipal parking lots. The initial contract will be for one (1) year (terminating May 15th, 2022) with the possibility of two (2) additional one-year extensions. Snow plowing, salt/sand treatment, and removal services for each storm shall be conducted based on instructions received from the Parking Department Manager or a City of Nashua authorized representative. Contractor will be required to be onsite within (1) one hour after accumulation of snow greater than two (2) inches and may be required to be on-site for pre- and post-treatment of salt/sand prior to and following any snow event. Contractor must be available for snow removal services on an asneeded basis to be determined by the Parking Department Manager. Salt/sand mixture will be provided at DPW Barn located at 7 Riverside Street. In addition, the Contractor will be responsible for periodically checking each of the lots throughout each storm to ensure lots remain passable. The Contractor shall be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair on all their equipment required to provide snow plowing and snow removal service. All labor, tools, transportation, disposal costs, materials, equipment and permits required to perform snow plowing services shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. Contractor shall clearly identify areas such as, but not limited to, curbing, shrubs, manholes, fencing, guardrails, electrical junction boxes, or any other areas that are susceptible to damage when concealed by snowfall prior to the first snowfall each season.
