Specifications include, but are not limited to: An expert consultant hydro-geochemist to evaluate restoration actions in the Upper Clark Fork River Basin. This work will require expertise in geochemistry, biogeochemistry, hydrogeochemistry, and an expertise in understanding of the effects of hardrock mining wastes on aquatic chemistry in the UCFRB or similar systems. In addition, an understanding of natural resource damage assessments and the specific aquatic and groundwater injuries that exist in the UCFRB is necessary. This expert should specialize in the environmental effects of hard rock mining, baseline water quality evaluation, and geochemical characterization methods and modeling. Expertise is required to evaluate baseline conditions; sources, pathways, and the extent of contaminant effects; and remediation and restoration approaches and effectiveness.
