Specifications include, but are not limited to: On-site Determination of Wetlands –The consultant will meet on site with DEC Agency FacilitiesEngineering and discuss the project and areas of concern. The consultant will make a determination of whetherWetlands are present in the project areas or nearby and if they will be impacted by the proposed project. If nowetlands are found within the project areas, then the project will end here. The timing of this meeting will be assoon as feasible this fall.On-site Delineation –Following the site review with the state’s representative, the contractor shall proceedto delineate wetlands that are found present in the affected areas and within a 50’ buffer around the affectedareas. Delineation shall be clearly marked in the field with flagging or other such methods.On-site GPS Locating –Following the delineation completed by the consultant, the consultant shall proceedto locate the delineated boundary with a GPS unit in the field, while also locating a handful of existing knownpoints (buildings, parking lot edges, survey stations, etc.). These are to have sub-meter accuracy. The consultantwill then prepare an excel file with the GPS coordinates (with Sub-meter accuracy) in VT State Plane Feet andsubmit them to the State to use for further design and considerations.
