Specifications include, but are not limited to: purchase a state-of-the-art wide area voice network, and 3 position Dispatch Radio Console for use throughout the Goffstown Police and Fire Departments service area utilizing analog simulcast technology and repeater technology (Fire) as well as P25 Simulcast repeater technology (Police) using Linear Simulcast (LSM). The integrated network should be a highly reliable, fault tolerant system which will meet current needs and provide a growth path for future expansion. The system is expected to serve the current communication needs of Goffstown Police, Fire, and its current dispatch customers and it must have the flexibility of being able to be adapted to changing system requirements and new technology without the need for the replacement of major equipment elements. The Town of Goffstown wants to be able to reuse equipment from this upgrade, such as the analog repeaters, voters, and simulcast controllers for any potential future upgrade to any form of P25 network from the same vendor, and which could include P25 conventional, P25 conventional simulcast.
