Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2005 Model Minimum Grader, (Articulating Cat 140 or equivalent), with fourteen foot (14') moldboard, approved M.O.A. spec snow gate, front plow (Rylind MDP 12H five way plow or equivalent), hydraulic snow wing and rear ripper standard. Standard, 6 radial all season sipped tires (Bridgestone V-Steel snow Wedge or equivalent), 6 tire chains, “Stay Back 50 Feet” signs, rear back up light (flood lamp type), amber and blue strobe rear, tow chain/cable/strap, reflectors/flares. Additionally, equipment shall meet all State of Alaska, Division of Motor Vehicles requirements. 3/4 inch straight edge cutting edges are standard. At the discretion of the Administrator, serrated cutting edges (specifications to be determined by Administrator) may be requested to be used and shall be paid at an additional 7% of the bid rate.; A. The Administrator will direct the Contractor as to number and types of equipment, equipment accessories, techniques, street(s)/area(s) to be cleared, and/or the level of service required. The Administrator may specify that partial clearing be accomplished, such as single lanes in little used areas and the plowing back or blowing back of snow off shoulders before break-up. B. The Administrator will callout the Contractor when, in his opinion, plowing is necessary. Generally, this will take place as soon as the snowfall has accumulated to four (4) inches or more. Snow clearing services for snowfall of less than four (4) inches shall not commence or be billable without prior authorization of the Administrator
