Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Contractor shall furnish all labor and equipment necessary to perform testing. A list of locations is shown in Appendix 6, Testing Sites. B. All testing, analysis, and reports will be performed to meet current codes. C. The Contractor is responsible for deploying and preparing testing devices for shipment back to the lab. D. Short-term measurements can range from two (2) to four (4) days. E. Observations of test conditions must be verified with closed building conditions maintained at a minimum of twelve (12) hours prior to testing and throughout the measurement period. Closed building conditions are necessary for short term radon measurements in order to stabilize the radon and radon decay product concentrations and increase the reproducibility of the measurement. F. Closed building conditions include: 1. Window and exterior doors on all levels be kept closed (except for normal entry and exit) during the measurement period. 2. Normal operation of heating, ventilating, and air conditions systems. G. Testing devices will be deployed to measure precision, bias, and ensure quality data. H. Devices must be documented in a permanent log containing the following information. 1. School name and address 2. Diagram of the testing area noting the exact locations of all devices deployed 3. Exact start and stop times of the measurement period 4. Description of the device used and serial number ;
