Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Dallas Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization Department is making available a total of $200,000 in City funds that will be allocated to an organization or group of organizations to provide, in designated geographic areas, specific services to persons who own land where title to the land is “clouded” by heirship issues or liens, among other issues. The selected organization(s) will be expected to (1) provide direct legal representation related to title clearing to qualifying owners; (2) lead in person and online educational seminars where residents of Dallas can learn about the steps that must be taken to “clear” a cloudy title.; and (3) include preventative services such as will or transfer on death deed preparation, along with family mediation services to the extent that the associated services improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal representation.
