Specifications include, but are not limited to: General The County is looking to purchase a compact forestry skid steer. Weight of the machine and the specified attachments must be under 15,100 lbs. and create ground pressure less than 5.2 psi. Engine The machine must have a 4-cylinder Cummins diesel engine of a 3.8-liter size and turbocharged with three stage intake air cleaners (or equivalent). Engine must meet Tier 4 Final emissions criteria. Engine must provide a peak torque of 360 ft-lbs. and a peak horsepower of 120 HP. Engine must be of a water-cooled design, equipped with a hydraulic reversing fan. Engine must have operator warning systems installed to monitor and warn the operator of potential risks to the engine, such as high temperatures or low oil pressure, and can shut down engine if risks occur. Hydraulic System High flow hydraulic system must be capable of providing a flow of 45 gpm and pressure of 4,060 psi to the mulching head circuit. The mulching head must be hydraulically driven by a variable displacement hydraulic rotor, connected to the rotor by a cogged sheave and belt system. The machine must have a standard auxiliary hydraulic circuit for the front of the machine with a flow of 0-20 gpm and pressure of 3,000 psi, for attachments and options, and an auxiliary hydraulic circuit to the rear of the machine, for attachments like a hydraulic winch. The machine must be equipped with a hydraulic reversing fan for the hydraulic cooling system, capable of clearing debris out of the hydraulic cooler.
