Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Austin, Texas, DBA, Austin Energy seeks proposals from qualified Contractors, to provide prefabricated control houses for Austin Energy Substations. The control houses are needed to provide a weatherproof and environmentally controlled environment to protect control relays, communication equipment, batteries, and other equipment. ; 3.1 The building floor plan shall be in accordance with the requirements shown on drawings E1817-CH1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. The building floor plan shall include provisions for a battery room, batteries and battery equipment, exhaust fans, doors, wall penetrations, cable risers, cable trays, HVAC units, AC and DC systems, and fire and safety equipment. The Contractor may provide alternate layouts with Bid if savings can be obtained. Final equipment placement is subject to approval by Austin Energy. Final layout drawings shall be provided by the Contractor. All final drawings shall be sealed by a Texas Professional Engineer (PE).. 3.2 The control houses shall be provided in four basic versions: 3.2.1 Extra-Large: 32-feet x 60-feet, split into two sections of 16-feet each. This building is allowed to be transported in split form. 3.2.2 Large 16-feet x 60-feet dimensions. No split allowed. 3.2.3 Medium 16-feet x 50-feet dimensions. No split allowed. 3.2.4 Small 16-feet x 40-feet dimensions. No split allowed.
