Specifications include, but are not limited to: Develop and support the ongoing activity of a disaster recovery team to manage the FEMA Public Assistance process; Provide advice as well as planning, execution, and administrative support required to help leverage resources efficiently. Also to assist the disaster recovery team as appropriate and participate in meetings; Assist in interpretation of funding guidelines as well as treasury guidance for eligible projects. Assist with reporting requirements, compliance, community engagement initiatives, project and program management, preparedness planning for the next pandemic or emergency responses. Provide advice as to the eligibility of facilities, work, and costs and develop justifications for presentation to the State of Rhode Island and FEMA with regard to any issues which may arise; and Briefing purchasing, contracting and department personnel on requisite/purchasing procedures and documentation. All work and projects are to be approved by the mayor or his designee.
