Specifications include, but are not limited to: Successful vendor will deliver and install a minimum of ten (10), and up to Twenty (20) trees in the downtown area in the Fall of 2021. New trees shall be 2.5”-3.5” caliper, single stem tree forms. Please note that the City will be responsible for pre-excavating the existing tree boxes, such that the boxes will be empty, and any existing stumps would be removed. The successful vendor will have to provide guidance to the City, but the City expects to excavate at least to depth of 3 feet. The empty trees boxes will have temporary fencing, barricades, or safety cones around them, pending arrival and installation of the new trees. The City anticipates only opening-up, and excavating five (5) tree boxes at a time. Once five new trees are planted, the City would need 2-3 business days to excavate another five tree boxes. The successful vendor will be responsible for installing new trees in the vacant boxes, which will include all related backfilling work, including the furnishing, placement, and compaction of all required suitable soil or loam.
