Specifications include, but are not limited to: information regarding vendors who have a solution to communicate with voters about their ballot status based on a sign-up process. The ideal solution will work with intelligent bar codes and election activity codes to send voters messages via email, text and/or voice mail to indicate that their ballot has been mailed to them, received by the county clerk’s office, accepted through signature verification, and tabulated. The solution must also be able to communicate with a voter to indicate that there is a problem such as a missing signature or a discrepancy requiring the voter to get in contact with the county clerk’s office. The solution must also be able to communicate with voters who cast provisional ballots and who vote in person. The solution should also provide voters with the ability to manage the elections for which they are interested in receiving communications and the best time of day for messages. The solution should also provide scalability depending on the type of election, the number of eligible voters participating, and the number of possible messages.
