Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1200 square feet of the main house called the Big House and a 420 square feet garage, called the Little House, that was converted to Mrs. Craft’s primary residence as she rented the Big House out to boarders. This home is to be restored to the period of historical significance 1950 -1985. The property is to preserve Mrs. Craft’s legacy and potentially be an interpretive museum that offers educational programs and engage the surrounding community.; Develop Floor plan depicting sizes and locations of fixtures and exhibits, visitor circulation, etc. Fabricate, and install exhibits based on a comprehensive exhibit design with modifications and additions outlined in the Juanita J. Craft Conceptual Design, for installation in the rehabilitated Juanita J. Craft Civil Rights House. Fabricate all exhibit elements including casework, mounts, props, panels, and interpretive graphics. Coordinate with the Architect and General Contractor, who will construct and/or install all light fixtures and controls, electrical outlets and switches, fixed partitions, and standard floor, wall, and ceiling finishes (excluding special finishes and graphics). Coordinate the installation of all exhibit elements with the Architect and General Contractor. Coordinate the Office of Arts and Culture for the design of appropriate artifact mounts, and for the mounting of artifacts and archival material. Provide a maintenance manual for exhibits including specification for any ongoing maintenance and operation of exhibit elements.
