Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Vermont Department of Health (VDH), Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) is seeking proposals to provide transcription services. The Contractor will provide the following activities and deliverables: 1. Transcribe dictation of pathologists’ examination reports and ancillary studies from audio tape or digital audio recording device. Transcribe from mechanical report devices material of a complex and technical nature, specifically, autopsy protocols and other reports for inclusion in medicolegal examination reports from the Chief and Deputy Chief Medical Examiners. 2. Receive draft protocols after review by the Chief and/or Deputy Chief Medical Examiner for revision and incorporation of corrections. This often involves multiple draft preparations for a single case. Maintain updated file versions, database information, and reports during the editing process. 3. Prepare typed reports for publication to members of the death investigative team as requested by the Chief and Deputy Chief Medical Examiner. 4. Final reports of any nature are always reviewed and approved by the Chief or Deputy Chief Medical Examiner before inclusion in the case file.
