Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Contractor will become familiar with the specific surveillance and data collection protocol used by the Vermont Birth Information Network. • Within a particular case, the Contractor will be responsible for: Confirming the plausibility of the reported defect based on the information provided Confirming or determining the most accurate and precise way to define the reported defect Confirming or determining the most appropriate coding or categorization for the defect Excluding conditions which do not meet the program’s defect criteria Requesting more information as needed to perform any of the above steps Re-review of cases if/when more information becomes available • Performance Measures: o Contractor will complete reviews within two weeks of receipt. If contractor does not complete reviews within two weeks, $100 will be deducted from monthly invoice per each tardy review. o Contractor will respond to queries from the program within five business days. If contractor does not response within five days, $100 will be deducted from monthly invoice per each tardy response.
