Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified vendors to provide transparency services. In the Spring of 2021, TPA services for PEBP went out to bid and are currently under evaluation for award. The incumbent TPA is HealthScope Benefits, the incumbent Transparency services vendor is Healthcare BlueBook. The new TPA services are set to begin on July 1st, 2022. The current medical network is Aetna Signature Administrators and the Medicare Exchange is offered though Willis Towers Watson. PEBP currently utilizes Express Scripts for PBM services, though that contract also will be going out to bid later this calendar year for a July 1, 2022 start date. PEBP will also be going out to bid for 2nd Opinion/Expert Medical Opinion Services (currently using 2nd MD), HSA/HRA Administration (currently with Healthcare Bank), and Telemedicine Services (currently with Doctor on Demand) in calendar year 2021 for July 1, 2022 start dates. PEBP would prefer that their new TPA hold these contracts – including this Transparency contract, after they are negotiated by PEBP.
