Specifications include, but are not limited to: Academic/Educational Consultant Services for a Balanced Literacy Program that will be purchased on an "as needed" basis. Consultant will present/train district administrators and elementary teachers yearly on the balanced literacy framework including shared reading, independent reading, and guided reading based on Texas standards in addition to word study and responsive writing. Consultant will provide structured balanced literacy instructional pacing schedule along with lesson planning and lesson implementation including modeling sample lessons as well as working alongside teachers in professional learning communities to develop exemplar lessons for future use and will work closely with the district administration, departments, and campuses on an as needed basis.
