Specifications include, but are not limited to: In Person Exams1.The Vendor shall administer examinations, as needed, Monday through Friday, including evening hours depending on applicant’s availability.2.There shall be no more than twenty-five (25) applicants sitting at one time. 3.A proctor must be in the examination room monitoring applicants at all times.4.There shall be appropriate spacing between the candidates while the examination is in process.5.If multiple licenses are being tested for at the same time, the examinations shall be mixed so to prevent cheating.6.There shall be an accessible restroom near the examination room7.There shall be fire exits in and near the examination room.8.The examination site and room must be handicapped accessible and meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.9.The primary examination site must be within the State of Rhode Island and within twenty (20) miles of One Capitol Hill, Providence, RI 02908.Online Exams1.The Vendor shall be allowed to administer examinations via online methods.2.The Vendor shall ensure that the highest level of internet security is maintained.3.Secure access must not depend on location4.The Vendor shall verify the identity of the test taker.5.Only authorized staff and students have access to exams before, during, and after the administration.6.Technical support must be available at all times that examinations are being administered.Exams1.Vendor will be responsible for developing the examinations. The SBO shall approve each examination prior to Vendor utilizing said exams.2.Test Questions – The Vendor shall coordinate with the SBO in reviewing the examination questions. All examinations shall vary between 25 and 60 questions depending on the license for which the applicant is testing. The SBO will work with the Vendor in pooling questions for the examination. 3.The examination results will be provided electronically to the applicant at the completion of the examination grading.4.All examination communications, if any, with the SBO shall be transmitted electronically.5.Exams shall be offered for the following licenses:a.home inspector b.associate home inspector c.well-drilling contractor d.pump installer e.water-filtration/treatment-system contractor f.water-filtration/treatment-system installerg.underground utility contractorh.commercial roofing contractor.
