Specifications include, but are not limited to: Develop and Operate Direct Service Projects for People with Disabilities in Vermont for The Vermont Statewide Independent Living Council (VT SILC) and Agency of Human Services (AHS); Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living (DAIL); Division for the Blind and Visually Impaired (DBVI). VT SILC is committed to increasing the quality of life for unserved and underserved PWDs in Vermont across several fronts simultaneously as stated in its VT SPIL 3-year plan. For purposes of this project, the VT SILC identifies its targeted consumers as unserved PWDs living in Vermont that do not or cannot access relevant services for any given reason (Migrant workers, rural Vermonters, peers who can’t access communication services or transportation), as well as underserved PWDs who are receiving some services and are still not getting their needs met (Deaf and hard of hearing community, Abenaki community, New Americans, Migrant workers). The VT SILC seeks contractor(s), with demonstrated experience working with the greater disability community and underserved populations in Vermont, to perform business to business (B2B) and non-profit organization to non-profit organization (NPO 2 NPO) networking and marketing services with the goal of expanding VT SILC's overall level of engagement with these identified populations.
