Specifications include, but are not limited to: The service contract on the street lateral servicing the properties of Cranston. Said work will conform to the clog service standard operating procedure (SOP) as amended. 1. All sewer calls are to be responded to within 30 minutes or as reasonably possible. 2. The contractor shall record all pertinent information from the caller and dispatch the properly outfitted vehicle to the clog location. 3. Upon arrival, the contractor shall first check the mainline (8" or greater) system for conveyance of flow. This is performed by inspecting the manholes in the street to ensure the sewer system is operating correctly and the manholes are not surcharged (i.e. full of water). The contractor shall inspect the system in and around the affected property especially in those areas where the affected service abuts two streets and/or easements. If the system is found surcharged, the contractor shall contact a Veolia personnel, explain what is happening, and wait until Veolia arrives unless otherwise directed. Refer to the emergency contact list.
