Specifications include, but are not limited to: mechanical and electrical upgrades to the building. Mechanically, the existing air handlers and condensing unit serving the common open areas of the library shall be removed and replaced with a new VRF air conditioning system. Also, the ductwork serving the common areas shall be investigated for a loss of airflow (areas to be investigated are indicated on the project drawings). Existing ductwork to each new air handler shall be revised to accommodate the new equipment. Condensate and gas piping shall be revised to support the mechanical upgrades. Electrically, lighting fixtures interior and exterior to the building proper shall be replaced with a one-for-one swap to new LED light fixtures, except as noted. Several fixtures shall remain, to be re-lamped with new LED lamps with integral drivers.
