Specifications include, but are not limited to: A Professional Assessing Service Contractor to perform the duties and functions of Municipal Assessor for the Town of Wolfeboro. When required, perform or assist in routine assessment tasks that are normally part of the Assessor duties, including, but not limited to: a) Review submitted exemption and credit applications, make documented recommendations to the Board of Selectmen for approval or denial of applications and provide official notification to applicants of decision. Conduct the periodic full review and verification of all exemptions previously approved, and credits in accordance with DRA documentation, within the required five year cycle. b) Land Use Change Tax (valuation and documentation) & Current Use (ongoing administration and file maintenance per Cub rules). This includes Current Use designation(s) amendments based on site visit annual audit process. c) MS-1 reporting in accordance with NHDRA required timeline, extension requests must by approved by Board of Selectmen and only under extraordinary circumstances. d) Abatements: Review and research all properly filed taxpayer abatement request and make a written recommendation based on thorough research, to the Board of Selectmen for disposition of the request. e) Map Changes: Reassess and generate new values for new parcels created from subdivision which have occurred prior to April 1st of the tax year.
