Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project will be Phase I of the Belt Water Treatment Plant (WTP). This Project will be site earthwork and development in preparation of the future WTP. Coal mining along the north side of west side of Belt Creek has created multiple sources of Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) that discharges into Belt Creek. To remediate the historic AMD issues, a lower vault/lift station will pump AMD to the west where it will be treated in a future WTP. Treated water will then be discharged to the north where water will follow a natural coulee adjacent to road 331 where it will eventually flow back into Belt Creek The purpose of this site development project is to build roads, site pad, influent ponds, and emergency retention pond for future AMD collection and treatment as shown on the Drawings.
