Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified aviation consulting firms with capabilities to perform design engineering, bid phase, construction phase, and environmental services to develop design drawings, specifications, construction cost estimates, perform general administration and produce final bid documents associated with the Wildlife Fence Installation, Replacement and Repair project at Westerly State Airport (WST). The airport perimeter property at WST is in need of additional security and/or wildlife fencing, including wildlife skirt, access gates and equipment as appropriate. Approximately 12,000 linear feet of new chain link or suitable product, is needed to enclose the airport perimeter, particularly in the northern portions of the airport perimeter around Runway 14-34. In order to complete the work, existing wetlands will need to be verified and mapped, and the existing terrain be studied to determine the best routing of the proposed fence. Additionally, repairs and replacement may be needed around the existing fence. An existing conditions survey of the approximately 9,500 linear feet of existing fence will be required to evaluate the condition of the fence in order to determine the extents of necessary repairs and/ or replacement.
