Specifications include, but are not limited to: a) Demolition & removal of three existing buildings: • 1952 Laird Memorial Hospital • 1978 Addition • 1993 Women’s Center Addition b) Construction of a new: • 37,123 sf Health Sciences Education Building for Kilgore College • 18,688 sf Physician’s Clinic for Christus Good Shepherd • Renovation of the lobby/façade of the existing Christus Good Shepherd Emergency Department • Associated parking & drive improvements c) All work will be performed by one CMaR although it will be issued as two sets of construction documents (one for Kilgore College & one for Christus Good Shepherd) which may have differing schedules & phasing and will require separate applications for payment. d) The Kilgore College portion of the work will be partially funded by a grant from the Economic Development Administration which will require compliance with EDA guidelines; some of which follows in the attached documentation. All respondents should be familiar with the EDA guidelines & requirements and should be prepared for the added compliance & documentation required during construction. e) The Christus Good Shepherd Emergency Department must remain operational during all phases of construction.
