Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified vendors to perform the required annual testing for the Fire Department’s fire hose and nozzles; pumps; as well as aerial and ground ladders, as outlined in the specifications below. A. FIRE HOSE & APPLIANCE/NOZZLE TESTING 1. Test all hose, appliance, and nozzles to NFPA 1962 - Standard for the Care, Use, Inspection, Service Testing, and Replacement of Fire Hose, Couplings, Nozzles, and Fire Hose Appliances, 2018 Edition 2. Provide on-site technicians with testing equipment to include a mobile pump testing system 3. All hose removed, tested using hydrostatic test machines, labeled and repacked on all apparatus by vendor supplied technicians 4. Provide complete computerized report 5. Provide ink stenciled number system on each length or item 6. Replace gaskets as needed 7. Yearly color code provided on each length or item 8. Apparatus inventory report 9. Tag all failures out of service. B. PUMP TESTING 1. Apparatus fire pumps are to be tested in the provided testing area 2. Test all fire pumps to NFPA Standard 1911 - Standard for the Inspection, Maintenance, Testing, and Retirement of In-Service Emergency Vehicles, 2017 Edition, Chapter 21 3. Provide complete detailed computerized report for all testing 4. Place inspection sticker on each pump tested.
