Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Delaware Medicaid program is seeking a dynamic Pharmacy Director who has a strong business acumen, operations and clinical program experience. The Pharmacy Director provides oversight and management to the Medicaid Fee-for-Service (FFS) Pharmacy Benefit and the Managed Care Pharmacy Benefit. This position will also manage and oversee the Physician Administered Drugs Benefit and provide clinical expertise regarding Durable Medical Equipment and Supplies. This position has clinical responsibility as the State Pharmacy Director. Position acts as the staff authority concerning regulations for pharmacy benefits and programs. In addition, the Pharmacy Director is responsible for negotiating contract deliverables and terms, preparing contract language, tracking contracts through the approval process, monitoring contract compliance, issuing contract amendments and managing any contract terminations for pharmacy-related contracts.
