Specifications include, but are not limited to: A programmatic and financial review of assisted living facility services in Maine, including recommendations of models from other states that could be considered for adoption in Maine. Through this RFP, a program review and actuarially sound cost study will be performed for the Department’s AALF program offered in Maine with two (2) objectives: Determine the cost of providing AALF services for purposes of moving to a fee-for-service or other payment alternative to cost-based contracting; and Identify options for expanding AALF through Medicaid reimbursement and other options to reach more people and provide additional community alternatives to nursing home placement.
