Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide Environmental Grant Writing Services for the City of Woonsocket’s (the City) Department of Planning & Development (the Department). QC will collaborate with the Department under the direction of the Director of Planning and their designated staff to complete the following tasks: Task 1: Community-Wide Assessment • Work with the City to review its Brownfields inventory to identify a group of properties to target for the Community-Wide Assessment Grant. The properties should have a compelling narrative and be potentially accessible to the City for assessment activities. • Draft a U.S. EPA Community-Wide Assessment Grant application and prepare said application for submission. The QC will coordinate closely with City staff during the grant writing process. Task 2: Brownfields Cleanup • Work with the City to identify which property(s) to target for a U.S. EPA Brownfields Cleanup Grant, building off the City’s prior assessment activities. • Draft a U.S. EPA Brownfields Cleanup Grant application that maximizes potential cleanup funding for the Department’s Brownfields Program and encourages favorable redevelopment of the contaminated properties. The QC shall assist in preparing the application for submission. The QC will coordinate closely with City staff during the grant writing process.
