Specifications include, but are not limited to: The URI competition pool needs replacement pool water filter equipment. The work to replace this filter system must be performed while the pool is closed. The proposed dates are August 1, 2021 thru August 21, 2021. A required site visit to inspect this work will be performed as indicated on the bid cover sheet. Work scope for the ReGen Filter System is to include; shut down and isolate filter system - drain filter system - removal and disposal of existing filter media - removal and disposal of existing swimming pool filter - installation of new ReGen Filter System (URI to remove handrails and caging on the staircase, etc. as needed to accommodate installation of new ReGen Filter system) - reconfigure plumbing to match new filter - start up and inspect - water analysis - calibrate controller to test kit - operator training -Miscellaneous plumbing material for plumbing reconfiguration, SS hardware, valves, etc. This system is to be a turnkey system with full startup and operator training included as part of this bid. The University has a contract with Streamline Pool Products LLC for the maintenance and basic repairs of the three pool systems in the Tootell complex and which will continue following the installation of this system. See attached specifications for required replacement equipment. This work is to be performed in the lower-level URI filter room. This work includes the full removal and disposal of all the old pool filter equipment. URI electricians will be available to assist where necessary and as may be applicable to other University functions related to this equipment replacement. URI staff will remove the gate into the lower level to allow for easier access. The primary equipment to be included for this work is listed below but is not limited to this list.
