Specifications include, but are not limited to: REQUIRED INSPECTION ACTIVITY LISTING Service Frequency Annual Inspection activities to be performed during the month of September of each calendar year. Annual maintenance activities (if requested) to be performed during the month of April of each calendar year. ANNUAL INSPECTION (September): Perform visual inspection; add fluids, correct as required, document results on report: 1. Check engine oil level 2. Clean air filter (as needed) 3. Perform air inlet restriction test (diesel units). 4. Check governor oil level (if applicable) 5. Inspect / adjust / tighten hoses, belts, linkages. 6. Diesel engines – inspect injection system, fuel line and fuel pump. 7. Gas / LP engines – inspect complete ignition system, check timing, points, condenser, spark plugs and wiring. 8. Check coolant level, condition of coolant, protection rating, and perform pressure test. 9. Inspect fuel supply system including piping, solenoid valve and transfer tanks (where applicable). 10. Check engine / block heater operation (adjust as required – to 130F) 11. Inspect exhaust system and drain condensation if System has drain provision 12. Lubricate fan hub, tack drive, linkages and bearings. 13. Check battery voltage, electrolyte levels and specific gravity, clean terminals, spray terminals with corrosion proof solvents. 14. Check battery charger operation and charger rates. 14. Adjust output voltage and frequency as required. 15. Check all engine and generator shutdown and alarm systems. 16. After notifying contact person, operate transfer switch(es) and confirm proper operation – exerciser clock and time delays 17. Inspect transfer switch(es) main contacts and controllers for loose, bare, broken wiring or connections. 18. Confirm proper operation of all engine gauges and AC metering. 19. Inspect control cabinet to ensure connections and relays are tight. 20. Inspect fuel storage tanks (day and bulk) 21. Inspect fan louvers for proper operation 22. Run engine at facility under load for a minimum of 20 minutes, check for leaks and unusual noises/vibration, verify proper operation of gauges and note readings, evaluate system, verify proper power output and transfer. 23. Instruct contact person or representative on the operation and regular inspection of the equipment.
